There are about 40 days to go until European mobilityweek 2020. From 16-22 September municipalities, businesses, NGOs and schools across Europe will showcase their commitment to clean and sustainable urban transport.
This year’s motto “Zero-emission mobility for all” reflects the ambitious targets of a carbon-neutral continent by 2050, as laid out by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, when presenting the European Green Deal.
Walking is of course zero-emission and the only form or urban transport which is completely free for everybody and doesn’t require a vehicle. In this way, walking is a HUGE part of the solution for enabling zero-emission mobility for all.
As of today about 1000 municipalities have joined this year’s campaign and around 500 businesses, NGOs and schools have registered their mobilityACTION during mobilityweek 2020. Join with our initiative to show how we to provide zero-emission mobility for all!
